Thai Food in Tok

I just ordered take out from Jen’s Thai Food, a new local caterer in town. And it was fantastic! Even my husband, who is not a big fan of spicy food, thoroughly enjoyed Jen’s Pad Thai, fried rice and fresh rolls as did our toddler.

This is what I really love about Tok – there are these “hidden” and unexpected things that happen here. A concert-quality Steinway. An eclectic and very talented writers group. A book club focused on books about outdoors, nature, wildlife. Interesting and kind people. These nuggets that you really have to pay attention to find.

The business is a little more than a week old, and the response has been tremendous. What a neat enterprise in our own back yard!

If you’d like to order some delicious, freshly-prepared Thai food, call up Jen’s at 883-3362.

This has me hungry and wanting to reach for the phone at once. sadly, take-out from Tok won’t reach Northern Europe.

enjoy your feast, all who can and good luck to Jen’s Thai Food business. eat up, everyone. 🙂

I found you on national media when you described driving your car in Alaska in winter…I have followed you since. I think you are fantastic-it gives Americans another view of other citizens. Keep blogging-I wish I could find the resources you find…and I’m in the Midwest!

  3. Was really happy to find your blog–visited Tok in 1986 and stayed at Wayne and Michelle Stout’s Youth Hostel. I am looking for both of them and can’t find them–can you help me?

    • I know Michelle is still here – and she reads/comments on this blog on occasion. I’m sure she – or someone she knows – will see your comment and hopefully connect you! I don’t believe Wayne is here anymore but I could be mistaken. I didn’t know they ran a youth hostel! Hope to meet Michelle sometime and maybe interview her about that for this blog.

Thanks–your blog is delightful. If Michelle would like to call me my number is 570 877 8181. Don’t mean to use your space as a public forum. Thank you!
